In Christchurch there has never before been a greater need for Women’s Refuge services than now.

Since the 2011 earthquakes and resulting impacts the demand for our community services has increased by 300%; and the increased demand on our crisis line, safe house and residential services is enormous. The women and children we support are among the most vulnerable and most at risk from serious harm, and sometimes death from domestic violence. It takes a large amount of resources to keep our safe house & crisis response services operating and running effectively. Providing these services is the way we meet the safety needs of women & children experiencing domestic violence. You can help by becoming a regular donor. You can make a difference.

If you are in danger ring 111 immediately for police.

If you need help you can contact us through our 24 hour crisis line. Making a phone call is the first step towards making yourself & family/whanau safe & living a life free from violence.
